Visit Home

I recently made time to go home and visit my friends and family whom I usually only get to see but once a year. So I took off work (A task that isn’t for me these days) and headed home with my wife and our 2 dogs. Here are images from my trip.

Long Arms

Howdy everyone!

It’s not very often I get to post on this blog anymore. I seem to be spending most of my time on my other blog I use for my photography business. If you get a chance stop by and check it out over at jeremygrieff.com.

This post is for a Richmond based band whose sound has a great variety and mix. Definitely worth checking out over on their facebook page. I was contacted by James Menefee about the shoot almost a month ago. He knows and has played with some of the guys from Roslyn. The band is made up of James Menefee, Alex Smith, Prabir Mehta, and Greg Butler. From time to time they bring in other artists to accompany them on certain songs.

Here are a few shots taken yesterday for their upcoming album cover.

Pinup Angels

This past Sunday I had the pleasure of working with my great friend Val from (Valorie Demo Photography) with the famous Pinup Angels. Showing up at the shoot we had time to check out the area and really get an idea of where we wanted to shoot. So when the Angels showed up we had some what of a game plan to run with. Shortly after scoping the area the Angels rolled up in 3 seperate vehicles and had 2 assistants of their own. So they got out and all looked amazing. They were all very professional and very easy to talk to.

Just a great bunch of gals! I had a great time and here are a few photos from the shoot. For the photos I decided to go with an old time look, but still might redo them with a cleaner more vidid look soon.

Mutiny Expands

Well I’ve been going to Mutiny Tattoo for about 6 months now and not only do they do amazing work but their shop’s vibe is just very chill and layed back. It’s one of these places that even if you weren’t getting tattood it’s just a fun place to be. During my last visit down I took my camera gear with me as their shop has expanded with new peicers as well as tattoo artist and it was time to update the photo. We busted all these photos out in about 20 mins max I would say. I just got done getting work done on my arm and took these right before I was about to head out.

Anh

Another photo shoot at the junkyard yesterday and maybe the last, but hopefully not as it is closing down and the property is changing hands. Either way if I never get to shoot there again I’ll be very satified with my last shoot there. In these photos you will get to meet Anh…a very artistic person. He definitely has a great look and his hair really popped in these photos.

Actually a little back story before getting into the photos. Another model was suppose to have been coming and had some issues with her concealer as I heard she was trying something new and had an allergic reaction to it and was broken out for 3 or 4 days from it. So my friend Joey of (Jinxt Photos) whom I was doing the shoot with said he might have someone in mind and called me back about 10 mins later and said Anh could do it. Now mind you this was about 5 mins before I was about to leave to head over to the shoot location. So even more props to Anh for showing up on such late notice…really shows his character and personality.

I must say that this shoot went very well and we all had a great time. Hope you enjoy some of the photos.

Smoked Coffee

On of my best friends and I went down to a local coffee shop to relax and kick back for a few. On the way down it was pretty miserable to say the least…big huge snowflakes coming down and huge puddles everywhere. The kind that you don’t see until your creating huge waves on both sides of your car and are like “HOLY CRAP…I didn’t even see that”. Then steam starts to billow off your hood and all is grand…LOL!

Well after making our way through all that we make it to the coffee house. Of course Sean has to have a smoke before we head in…typical. While he is outside smoking I decided to wait in the entrance and stay warm while reading their pin up message board where people in the area leave business cards and flyers for anything and everything you can think of. Sean seems to be taking his time so I went back out to see WTF he was doing. I figured he might as well of walked down the street to buy another pack for as long as he was out there. After giving him hell about taking so long we head up.

Sean puts his order in and I didn’t have any cash on me…I never carry cash anymore. So I go to the ATM they have in there and attempt…yes attempt to get some money out. After going through the motions of trying to withdraw some cash from this ATM…I get this piece of paper from the machine that says “Cust Bank Down”. Hmmm so at that point I go over to Sean and ask him if he knows what that means. He says no and hands me a 10 spot so I go up to order and and place my order and ask the lady behind the counter what that meant and she said it’s probably out of cash. Now come to think of it…this same thing happened to me the last time I visited this coffee shop. It didn’t dawn on me until that moment where I had a dejavu of sorts.

Anyway Sean and got our drinks and made our way into the lounge area…and there was this one guy in particular on his laptop and weird looking ear plugs in just making really weird movements and gestures into the laptop as if he was dancing sporadically for someone he was doing a web chat with…no idea. Left that one alone!

So after about an hour of BSn…Sean and I made our way out where he wanted to have another ciggy…so this is when I broke out my camera so I would not get bored and think about how cold I was. So these pics are from the front porch of the coffee house. Just random snapshot pics that I thought looked ok…well ok enough to show you all!
