Corey’s Family | Virginia Beach Family Photographer

So a girl by the name of Ciara (what a beautiful name) contacted me and asked if I would do a family shoot…but not just any family shoot as there is a pretty touching story behind this one. Ciara, told me this shoot was for Corey’s mother…Corey being Ciaria’s man! Now I just couldn’t help but get teary eyed while reading the email she wrote to me because those that know me know that family and friends are the most important thing in my life. I could some what relate to the email as I myself only getting to see my family but once a year…twice if I’m lucky.

Ciara wrote:

“Corey’s mom is active duty Navy and is stationed in Bahrain for the next two to three years and even though she’s only really been home for a grand total of 6-8 months since Corey and I started seeing each other almost 5 years ago. In the beginning of September it was pretty rough on her since Corey’s brother is leaving the Army and coming home and, sadly, she won’t be around to see him for the next few years. Corey’s family is pretty understanding of the fact that it’s something they all knew was a possibility when she signed up but it hasn’t made it any easier for them — she’s alone in a foreign place and they’re getting older and taking steps forward in their lives that they can’t share with her and I can’t imagine how impossibly hard that must be for them.

For Christmas I want to have some pictures of the boys (Corey, his dad and his brother) done for her and maybe have a couple of the really good ones printed on a canvas to send to her? If you’ve got some time and think you can handle three of the goofiest human beings to ever grace the Earth.”

So I responded back with a big old “YES I CAN”!!! I’ve been wanting to photograph couples or families from a fly on the wall perspective for a while now so I ran this idea by her and she agreed. I also thought about putting together a magazine style book of the guys to send to their mother which they all loved that idea. So we ran with it and when I arrived they were very welcoming and let me just sit back in the shadows and snap some photos of them just enjoying time together as a family…and we also got some regular portraits as well….gotta have some good old portraits. I have to say that this shoot was just sooo much fun for me and getting to know them was great because I finally get to meet people that are a bit goofy like I am and don’t take life too seriously and can just laugh and have fun. I definitely look forward to doing more shoots like this as I love getting to know people and photographing them doing what they do in their normal day to day routines.

Channing | Virginia Beach Maternity Photographer

Let me start off by saying I don’t do a lot of Maternity shoots, but Channing whom I shot her wedding…contacted me and inquired about getting some maternity photos done. She explained the kind of shots she wanted and even shared some photos from a pinterest board she created just for the maternity shots she liked. Next was finding a location that fit what she was looking for. I reached out to some photographer friends and funny enough 9 out of 1o recommended the same place. This got me even more excited as I’ve never been to this location before and I love new locations…especially when they were as awesome as this one. The location was very vintage/country…which just so happens to be my favorite kind of locations to shoot as it fits my style perfectly. So the day comes and I head out to meet Channing, Jamie, and Peytan at the amazing location.

I arrived about 30 minutes before they showed up and the sun was shinning and the location getting me so excited for this shoot. I had a good friend of mine come out and help me with a few things so I can focus all my attention on Channing. As soon as Channing and the fam (aka family) show up the sun had dipped down behind the clouds and that is where it stayed the rest of the session. Which was fine by me, except it made it feel like it was 20 degrees colder and when you’re pregnant and have your shirt pulled up for belly shots it can bring tears to your eyes and I just have to say that Channing is a real trouper and toughed it out. We did cut it short because of how cold it was and I didn’t want Channing getting sick so we worked extremely fast on this session to get as many photos as possible in a short period of time. The shoot was a blast and what I love about photography is when clients become friends….which is exactly what Channing, Jamie, and Peytan have become…great friends. Speaking of great friends…I have to give a big huge thanks and PRISH (aka appreciation) to Sean for helping me out on this shoot.

Joanna & Mike Wedding | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer

I want to introduce you to a couple who put together an amazingly intimate wedding. Just so you know when looking through these photos that Joanna and Mike who are a very genuine and fun couple with the cutest and very well behaved little boy Ian. They are those neighbors that live next to you that would drop everything to do anything for you and you know that is rare these days. When Joanna first contacted me telling me about their special day I completely fell in love with the idea. I started getting a ton of great ideas and was very excited to shoot her wedding.

On the day of their wedding when I was photographing Joanna getting ready see was very calm…well at least she played it off really good! After the first five minutes of shooting it just seemed like I was shooting a wedding for friends I’ve known forever. We were all just having fun with the day and they let me shoot the wedding day the way I like to do it…and that is from more of a photojournalistic/documentary approach. I would run ideas by them during the day and they were like yah of course that would be great! Ummm…I love that answer! Plus you can’t deny that this gorgeous couple doesn’t have that timeless look about them. I could go on and on and on as I just loved every aspect of this wedding day and would love to shoot more intimate weddings like this one.

Samantha & Drake Wedding | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer

Samantha & Drake…I can’t say enough about this couple. We’ve had such a great time working together from their engagement session to their wedding day. It seems every time we would get together…some how…some way…we all ended up in a tree. Typically, I am the only one in a tree during a session or wedding…but Samantha & Drake looked at me when I started climbing the tree like…why do you get to have all the fun? Right then and there I knew we would be great friends as they were very open minded and just love life. They are so very much in love and that was apparent from day one of meeting them, and I know it will continue to grow more and more as the years pass. I can’t wait to shoot family sessions with them and their future children. Love you guys!

Amber & Mark Wedding | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer

This wedding like every other wedding did cause the bridal party some frustrations and I’m not going to go into details, but lets just say I felt like beating some @$$…and the bride and groom did a great job brushing it off and having an amazing day regardless. If you don’t know Amber & Mark as of yet you can check out their engagement session to get to know them a bit better. All you need to know is they are such an amazing and easy going couple and Amber doesn’t like pictures of her neck…sorry Amber…had to say it! :) Also…everyone at the wedding was great and we had a great time getting to photograph it. Amber & Mark had their ceremony here in Virginia Beach, and then had a HUGE reception up in Ohio a week later. So you won’t be seeing a bunch of crazy people dancing in this blog post as we only shot the ceremony on the beach for them. Knowing them….they all had a blast and were up partying till 8am the next morning. Thanks again for the great times….you guys are amazing!

Lori & Daryl Wedding | New Kent Wedding Photographer

I am going to keep this post short and sweet as I could go on and on about this amazing couple and their beautiful New Kent Winery Wedding. I will tell you all that Lori and Daryl are one amazing couple who are just so genuine and down to earth. There was just this instant comfort level from the first moment we all sat down to chat about the wedding like we we’ve known each other forever. The more I got to know them over the months before their wedding it was very apparent that they complimented each other perfectly. They have great hearts and I’ve been blessed to not only meet them, but to be able to call them great friends. Big thanks to Jerry and DJ for all your help…you both are great and I appreciate your greatness!

Amber + Mark Engagement | Virginia Beach Engagement Photographer

Hey Hey Hey…it’s bloggin time…and who better to blog about then a couple in love? I mean come on now…everyone loves love…right!?!?! You’re about to meet one of the funnest couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. We all met up at First Landing Park, but spent the first 25 minutes on the phone trying to find each other…I mean we had google maps out…and my amazing assistant James is not only amazing at photography, but also navigation and tracking. While on the phone trying to find one another I knew right away this couple was going to be a lot of fun just by how light hearted they were on the phone. So once we get settled in we took a walk and started chatting and getting to know each other and I don’t think any one of us stopped laughing the whole time. Right from the go we were all cracking and joking on one another like we knew each other for years. I honestly had an amazing time and at some points forgot I was even there to take pictures. James, my assistant was rocking the instagram out during the session and is hands down the best…so thanks again James!

High School Senior – Taylor | Virginia Beach Senior Photographer

So not that long ago I was contacted to shoot some High School Senior photos for Taylor. Now I don’t normally shoot senior photos as I haven’t always been a huge fan of the way a lot of photographers shoot and present senior photos. So I took this on with an idea in mind to shoot it to look more like a magazine spread for popular clothing brand like AF or AE. This style is what I’ve always wanted to do which I plan to incorporate into all my future work. Now my subject Taylor not only has the look of a young model, but this guy has amazing athleticism. You’ll see in a few photos below just what I’m talking about. There were many times when he made the comment…”I’ll do whatever you need me to do”. His Mother Robin, also joined us for the shoot and I have to say that she really got the best smiles out of him! We hit two different locations and had a blast the whole session. You’ll also see a photo of Taylor up in a tree and I guess he climbed this tree his whole life. Robin wanted me to capture that moment as her little boy is all grown up and soon will be heading off to college. This was just another reminder that life just moves so fast and we need to really stop once in a while to capture and cherish these moments with family and friends. I know I say it a lot, but this session was a blast and really hit home for me. Thanks to Taylor and Robin as it was great meeting you both and think we’ll need to get together again for some boating and BBQ. Also…a HUGE thanks to James for being the assistant all photographers dream of working with. I really look forward to shooting more senior photo sessions in the future.

The Lori & Daryl Family Session | Norfolk Family Photographer

I have to say that I am pretty excited about these photos. I haven’t done a family session in a while and this session was soooo much fun. It really reminded me that you can put a new twist on the traditional family photo session. I feel that having the traditional photos are very important and a must have so you can pass these photos down through every generation. Now…who’s to say we can’t also have some fun and mix it up a bit as well… I’m sure that when families get together they don’t just stand in a patterned formation…well, maybe some do! I think it is also very important that the family is fun and easy going and willing to allow you to mix it up. This family not only was all that and more…but they were also encouraging it…my kind of family right there!

After the session we all sat down and had lunch together, shared a few laughs, and talked about the wedding day. We also talked about the plane crash that happened recently and I found out that Daryl’s son is a part of that squadron. So thankful there were no casualties from that incident. I think this incident is also a reminder of just how fragile life is and to never take a day for granted.

I would also like to take the time to shift gears up a bit and say that this was originally supposed to be an engagement session, but Lori and Daryl wanted to include their whole family and turn it into a family session. I have to stop right there and say that this brought a huge smile to my face as the more I get to know Lori, Daryl, and their family it just really minds me a lot of my family. It is great to see just how close they all are. Family is a very important part of my life and I just can’t help but get a huge smile on my face when I meet other families that are that close and share the same values. I am honored and very excited they chose me to capture their wedding day. I am excited about the location they chose as well…it’s going to be soo soo beautiful.

Samantha Black – Trash the Dress | Virginia Beach Bridal Photographer

Ok….I have to say that I’ve been pretty excited about this “Trash the Dress” session ever since Samantha & Taylor booked me to shoot their wedding. Also if you’re new to our blog, please check out their Engagement and Wedding Coverage. Honestly…this is truly one of the funnest couples I’ve ever worked with and what makes them fun you say? Well I’ll tell yah!!! First off they are sooooo in love that they forget I’m even taking photos of them…LOL! It doesn’t bother me at all, actually I love it because I can get those candid raw emotions….which are my favorite! :) On top of that they are so easy going, have a great sense of humor and we just have a great time during photo picture takin time.

For this session I was thinking of ways to really “Trash the Dress.” After we got setup (I say “We” cause I was assisted by a great friend and AMAZING photographer Herson) on location and after looking around I had an idea in my head of a HOT/COLD kinda feel for this set. Herson also came up with some pretty amazing shots during this shoot as well…so BIG thanks again to you bro! Also another thanks is in order and that one goes out to Samantha’s Mom who also joined us for the shoot. Without her I wouldn’t have been able to get focus on a lot of the night shots…she was the BEST voice activated flashlight holder assistant person EVER! :) Last but not least to Samantha who I know had to feel like she was in Alaska during the last leg of this shoot…thanks for holding out for that one last shot. It was a fun day/night and can’t wait till I talk another bride into letting me shoot a “Trash the Dress” session. HINT to all you brides out there.

Samantha & Drake Engagement | Virginia Beach Photographer

Where to even begin…

Ok so a little back story here…Drake took Samantha to the Virginia Zoological Park for what she thought was just a fun day with the man she loves. Turns out Drake had a lot more in store and had a game plan to pop the BIG question when they got down to the Butterfly Garden. Well Drake was a mess and couldn’t wait that long and popped the question right at the tigers den. Which is a pretty amazing spot…and the fact that they wanted to do their engagement session there had me so excited. I love nothing more then really going to a place that has meaning to the couples I meet and photograph. You could really tell they were remembering that day all over again during our session. I think you should also know that this couple freaking ROCKS!!!! Not only are they madly in love and a gorgeous couple….but they are also big Pittsburgh Steeler fans…I was like GET THE ^&@%#^@ outta here! So big huge congrats again to Samantha & Drake on their engagement and can’t wait to shoot your wedding!

Samantha & Taylor Wedding | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer

What a day…NO…what a wedding day this was. It was so beautiful and so filled with emotion. You might remember this couple from their engagement session from earlier this year…if not you can check it out by clicking HERE. Samantha & Taylor have such a great sense of style and not only did they have the best color in the world as part of their wedding colors (green), but were also rocking some sweet tattoos as well. So the day started off like most wedding days do…and just about the time the ceremony was to start the weather decided to take a turn and it started raining…really hard and the wind started blowing the chair all over the beach. This is where plan B came into play and I’ll say that you would have thought it was plan A by the turnout….it was just amazing. The rest of the day everyone was having a blast and they lived happily ever after. Can’t wait till we do their “Trash the Dress” session here soon!

Katie & Mark Wedding | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer

I’m just going to make this short and sweet since I’ve included more photos then I normally do as I just couldn’t stop myself….LOL! Where to start really…the day was amazing and so was everyone there. When you get to attend a wedding where the families are so close and there is just so much raw emotion you can’t help but get caught up in it. One of my favorite moments was when Katie announced that they got her parents a 30th anniversary cake to celebrate not only their anniversary, but also just how much in love they still are.

Danielle & David Wedding | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer

So on July 9th we had the pleasure of photographing Danielle & David’s Wedding down at the Sheraton Hotel in Virginia Beach. The wedding took place on the beach right in front of the hotel under a beautiful arbor and surrounded by tons of family and friends. We gathered here just in as the Hotel started to block the direct sunlight from where the arbor was placed…timing couldn’t have been any more perfect…and I had nothing to do with that…probably why it turned out so well… The ceremony was beautiful…and directly after the ceremony when Danielle and David were making their way back to the hotel they ran into another couple who just got married and I just thought that was such a cool moment. Both brides & grooms huggin it out and just having a great time. Such a great turnout and all the guests were really fun and everyone was having a blast! Thanks again for allowing me to be apart of your day guys…congrats again and I’ll talk you all soon!

Christina & Brandon Wedding | Richmond Wedding Photographer

Wedding bells chimed….the bride and groom kissed….and lived happily ever after….but only after having an amazing time.

It was suppose to rain the day of their wedding and ended up being really nice out…really nice…but really HOT! :) Thankfully, we all got to stay inside as the ceremony moved from the back patio to inside the reception hall as a precautionary measure in the event it did rain. The wedding was beautiful and so was everyone there. I love it when everyone is so easy going and likes to have fun and is open to whatever. This day was amazing and I really want to thank Glenn Fajota and Natchez Richburg for their help shooting this wedding….you guys did an amazing job!

Samantha & Taylor…such a cute couple. Had a really good time getting to know them better during the shoot and I even got to ride in the back of their pickup truck going from one location to another which I haven’t done since I can’t remember when….forgot how much fun it was. I really love how laid back they are which really allows their true selves to come out. Plus Taylor has connections at Starbucks…we became fast friends as everyone needs connections with someone at startbucks…especially when you drink as many mocha fraps as I do!

Katie & Mark Engagement | Virginia Beach Photographer

Beautiful day…great couple…and one awesome dog! What more could you ask for??? We had an absolute blast on this engagement session and the wedding is going to blow it out of the water! Channing & Jamie | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer

Laura & Mike Wedding | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer

Laura & Mike are an amazing couple! Now they are an amazing married couple and they are a prime example of how true love can make it through anything….even the tornados that were coming towards us from NC on their wedding day. Regardless of the weather and storms their wedding turned out so beautiful and when you stop to look around during the key moments of this wedding you could see just how happy all their friends and family are for them. It’s just great to see as I feel family and friends are the most important thing in life. We all had such a blast on this shoot that I like to call…”Town & Country”! In our travels we ventured from downtown to the country to capture some special moments of these two love birds. They were very open to all suggestions…(which as you know I love) in a couple as this allow me to take more fun & exciting photos. There were even a few instances were I was joking around with them about getting up on certain areas that just were not even possible and then I hear Jamie say something like….”well I think we can get up there….it would be sweet”….LOL! Not only where they very adventurous but they even came up with a bunch of ideas themselves which is always great and refreshing as this is what really shows their true relationship and personalities together and I just love it when couples start ignoring the camera and just start being themselves….that is what this is all about…them! I’m just so happy for you both and look forward to your big day…thanks again for all the laughs!

Laura & Mike Engagement | Virginia Beach Photographer

I had a great time shooting this past engagement session with Laura & Mike. I really really enjoy doing engagement sessions because it really gives me a chance to get to know the couple before the wedding. Also…allows the couple to get to know me and how I work as well. Now as far as Laura & Mike go…I have to say that these two were real troopers. I had them all over the place from up high to down low and sitting on sharp rocks (sorry about that by the way…LOL) and there was no hesitation or complaints from either of them at all. I love it when couple are just so open minded to the ideas I have and allow me to get creative with my shots. I really can’t wait to shoot their wedding and look forward to working with them again after the wedding as they are just a really fun and lively couple. Thanks again for an amazing session it was great getting to know you both!

Well I’m sure a lot of you will probably remember our little friend Amelia from her first shoot HERE. Help me in wishing her a great big and a very happy 1st Birthday!!! YAAAAHHHH!!!! Gavin | Virginia Beach Photographer

So I got to photograph my first newborn baby and I have to say I really love it. I mean who can look at a cute little baby and not get a huge smile on their face. I have to say that my heart always melts when their little hands reach out and grab my finger. I really enjoyed this session and look forward to more in the future. So since the shoot I’ve also been on the lookout for some sweet newborn hats and items to use for future newborn/baby portraits. I’ve found a ton of places that sell some pretty sweet and amazing products and for a great price. So if your ever interested in getting some newborn or baby shots done, I can show you all the items I’ve found so far and we can incorporate them into your babies portrait session.

O.K….so now onto little newborn Gavin. You have to admit he is such a little cutie and we all just had a great time with this session. Jackie, Gavin’s mom whom I did the maternity shoot for a few months prior is doing great and her delivery went well. Will, Gavin’s dad and I were talking about some photos they want done when Gavin gets older, and I have to say they are going to be a blast to shoot. I definitely look forward to that and hope you all enjoy the photos.

The Smith Family | Virginia Beach Photographer

Well…Well…Well! I really want all you families out there to know that you are about to meet the coolest family in all of VA! I shot this family portrait a day before traveling home for Christmas. It was pretty cold out for one, but right off the bat they offered me some coffee and we were good to go. Once rolling, there was no stopping us…everyone knew exactly what to do, they were coming up with great ideas and the photos were flowing like wine. Everyone was in a great mood and very easy going.

I have to say that Tina’s family reminded me a lot of my family in the sense that they only get together but once a year and sometimes once every two years. They are all very close and I could sense just how much they all care for one another. I felt like I was a part of their family. I was giving grandma hugs and we all shared a bunch of laughs, hot coffee, and great company…and it was just a great time.

At one point I forgot I was there to take pictures. I think it was after I slipped and almost went into the lake…haha! Big thanks to Herson for his help on this shoot…always a pleasure! I could go on and on about how much fun we all had, but I’ll leave you with some of the photos from the session.

I want you all to meet one of the most awesome couples…meet Danielle and David. This session was just a good time and the weather couldn’t have been any better. I will say they were both very open minded about any suggestions I had for photos and just a very easy going couple in general. Normally during these sessions I get a good sense for who wears the pants in the relationship too, but this time it was neck and neck the whole time. I guess I’ll have to wait till the wedding to really find out who wears them…LOL! Had just a blast with these two during the session and hope you enjoy some of their photos.

I have been waiting and waiting to post this…but just haven’t had the time lately. This little cutie was amazing the day of the shoot. Kids sometimes don’t always do what you really want them too…LOL..but you roll with it and in the end, it’s better then what you were going for in the first place. I will say she probably crawled a good 2 miles during this shoot as we would sit here in one spot and boom…she was off and running…haha! Also…big thanks to Herson for giving me a hand…cheers mate!

I did some different processing on some of them that I normally do not do, but thought it worked well with these. I will say that I had a great time and hope you enjoy the photos!

Fashion by Sapana Amin | Virginia Beach Photographer

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot my first fashion line. I really learned a lot from this can’t wait for the next time I get to shoot something similar. I was introduced to Sapana, who is the fashion designer of all the clothing you see in the images below. Sapana, grew up in Norfolk, Virginia pretty much her whole life and fashion at the time was only a dream. She attended VCU , in Richmond VA and even got a chance to intern in NYC and do a study aboard program at the London school of Fashion. After graduating from VCU, she knew she wanted to start her own line and since she was always fascinated with her indian culture, she knew Bombay was her next destination. Its one of the biggiest fashion citites in India! After working in the fashion industry in Bombay for 3 years she finally decided she was ready to do what she came here to do.

Sapana created her line which is called “DreamsBySapana” in 2009. She is currently living in Bombay, India and has been living there for the past 5 years while her family lives in Virginia. It’s been a tough journey for Sapana but she is not one to give up. So here she is with her new Fall Collection for 2010. Sapana’s inspiration comes from everything around her. The people she meets, the places she sees, and the things she experiences through her life. The clothes she designs, come from the beautiful fabrics and colors of India and she gives them a twist of what Sapana likes to call the western culture.

The Rivera Family | Virginia Beach Photographer

Sunday…Sunday…Sunday…SAND…PHOTOS….and FUN!!!

One of my great friends and photog friends asked me if I would take pictures of his family this passed Sunday. I was more then honored as Herson is an amazing photographer whose work not only inspires me but is just amazing. We have worked together on numerous projects and events together and have a blast doing it.

His wife Vanessa whom is just a wonderful and caring person was a real trooper through the whole shoot. She is about to have her second child any day now and never complained once as we trenched through some pretty ruff terrain. Then their little boy Noah, who is just one of the happiest kids I’ve ever met and he was tearing it up…running through the dunes and having a great time. My wife Stacey assisted me on this shoot…and don’t worry I treated her to the dinner of her choice directly afterwards like a good husband.

Amanda | Virginia Beach Photographer

This passed Saturday I had the pleasure of taking Amanda’s senior photos. Her and her mother Christy showed up around 1pm and we got the shoot underway. Herson Rivera was a huge help as he was tasked with carrying pretty much everything besides me…LOL! Seriously though thanks again Herson…I really appreciate it.

Snap snap snappin off pictures and having a great time as both Amanda and her mother are just very chill people who are very easy to talk to and I think Christy actually missed me up in the tree cause she was texting…LOL! I love it! This is only part 1 of 2 as we still need to hit the studio to finish up the rest of her photos.

Tiffany & Chris Wedding | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer

Well I have to say that this wedding was definitely one I will remember. Everyone at the wedding had a blast and I mean everyone was on the floor and just having a great time. The wedding ceremony and the reception were held at amazing venues. They just added to the feeling and flow of the day so well…and were so beautiful.

From the dress to the ceremony to the reception…as well as Tiffany’s amazing shoes, this day couldn’t of gone any better! Thank you both again for allowing me to share in your special day. It’s Engagement session time!!! Well…this isn’t your ordinary run of the mill engagement session either. I want you to meet not only Tiffany and Chris…but also their son Jacob! So it this session was more of family sesh with the engagement twisted in there as well. I have to say too that it was insanely hot that day and they all never complained and worked with me on all the shots. Thank god there was some water close as I think that is what really saved us all from overheating!

Brittany & Jonathan Wedding | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer

Ok…so I’ve been very busy lately and have been meaning to update my blog with all the weddings I’ve been doing and here is my first step towards getting it up-to-date. Back on May 15th I had the honor of photographing Brittany and Jonathan’s wedding in Portsmouth. I meet them through some friends I shot a 30th Birthday party for a while back. When I arrived to the location I was very excited to see a beautiful location right on the water with a long pier that runs out into the water. So amazing and so much time and effort put into making this happen. I shot this wedding alone as I usually have a second shooter with me but no one was available to help on this particular day so I went solo. The day went very smooth and I got to capture everything I had in mind and a whole lot more.

Brittany and Jonathan are two very amazing and talented people that have such an amazing style. They had a great spot already picked out before I even got there for portrait shots after the ceremony. So they really put a lot of time and effort into this wedding and it showed. Congrats to you both again and I know your lives will continue to grow into an amazing and beautiful journey together. Allana & Justen Wedding | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer

Just this past Saturday I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding for Allana & Justen…who are just an all around great couple. It was also a pleasure getting to meet both families and both were a lot of fun and energetic. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and really let loose on the dance floor too. I remember one of the bridesmaids “Doin da Stanky Leg!” I won’t even tell you how many times we had to switch in someone new to get the garder on…LOL!

Ah way too much fun…and weather wise they couldn’t of asked for a better day. I have to be honest that I was a bit skeptical about the weather. The night before it was raining pretty good and didn’t look like it was going to be as nice as the weather guy was predicting…cause we all know how often they are wrong.

Reason I was a bit concerned was the ceremony was scheduled to be outside back behind the hotel near the water. Due to the rain the night before the ceremony was held in the second floor banquet hall and still turned out to be just as amazing. In my experience you can’t have a wedding and EVERYTHING go right…lol! That being said the day went really smooth and everyone had a great time. It was a pleasure to meet a bunch of new faces. Also a big thanks to my second shooter Herson for helping me out.

So without further ado I would like to say cheers and many blessings to the new couple… Justen and Allana Long!
